Design Studio Project - 2015
I found this project while sifting through an old external hard drive.
My Design Studio class was the class that prepared us on how to design for clients. Each project was with REAL clients, not fictitious shops/products. It was a way to build our portfolios with professional work at a collegiate level.
This project was to rebrand a spice company called, Stan’s Stuff and we were rebranding their All Purpose Seasoning. Each person had to come up with a concept board to pitch to the professor; this was mine:
If our Concept Board was accepted, we then provided our first draft logo concepts. If not, it was back to the drawing board. Mine was accepted to move forward; below are my first drafts.
The professor would then give you feedback. My feed back was to nix the sun design and focus on the panhandle while somehow working a sunset feel into it. He loved the way the S’s intertwined with each other.
Keeping with approved first draft and reworking the colors. This was my final submission:
This design was approved and sent off to the client. The final part of this project was to come up with a slogan and design a Facebook Cover Photo using your slogan. This was mine:
The client did like my design, but ultimately went with another students work. It was a pleasure working with them and I am still very proud of this work.
