Hi! I’m ReBe Armstrong. My full name is ReBecca, but in the community I go by ReBe Loves.
I’m a Birmingham-based creative, advocate, and mental health champion. My work brings together bold design and heartfelt storytelling with the goal of uplifting and connecting communities through art, advocacy, and authenticity.
I hold a degree in Design, Technology, and Industry from Troy University, where I also co-founded S.C.A.D.A.(Students Concerned About Disability Awareness), a student-led group promoting inclusion and awareness on campus.
My design journey began in Austin, Texas at Fashion Forms®, specializing in packaging and branding for intimate apparel. Today, I’m the Graphic Designer at Lakeshore Foundation, a Birmingham-based nonprofit empowering people with physical disabilities and chronic health conditions to live active, independent lives.
Some highlights of my work include:
Designing the mission patch for an AstroAccess zero-gravity flight promoting accessibility in space exploration.
Creating visuals featured nationally by USA Wheelchair Rugby, Boccia, and Para Powerlifting.
Shop ReBeLoves is my creative brand where I showcase my work as a: Graphic designer, Digital artist, Photographer, Poet, Songwriter, Creative Advocate and Metaphysical Entrepreneur.
My projects often center on disability awareness and mental health. As I also write a blog called "Be Mentally Loud,"where I have shared personal stories to help break the stigma around mental health.
I’m deeply involved in Birmingham’s music scene. I am the former co-host and photographer of Songwriter Nights at True Story Brewing Co. and The Nick, alongside local musician Guntram Anderlik. These events provided a welcoming space for songwriters to share original music in an intimate setting.
Through design and photography, I love helping artists and events connect visually with their audiences, capturing real moments and creating lasting impressions.
Another part of my work is what I call Creative Advocacy. I use poetry as a way to open up conversations about hard-hitting topics such as mental health, domestic violence, and suicide awareness. Writing gives me a way to express the things many people find difficult to say out loud, and sharing it allows others to feel less alone in their own struggles. My hope is that my words create both awareness and healing, turning personal pain into something that can spark understanding, compassion, and change.
Additionally, I am the founder of Hey Let’s Be Friends - BHM, a local social meetup group built to help people find community. Whether you’re new in town, a bit introverted, or just looking to meet new people, this group is for you. We’re all about connection, kindness, and no-hate vibes.
If you're into live music, storytelling, or collaborating with someone who values honesty, humor, and heart, you’ve come to the right place.
Welcome to my world. I’m so glad you’re here.
I believe in the power of art to connect, empower, and heal — especially when it’s unapologetically you.
You can find all of my contact information in the top right corner of my website: Facebook, Instagram, linkedIn, Pinterest, Email and Spotify. If your on a phone, look for those three dots “…” typically located at the bottom center of your screen.
